Executive Producer
Zain Sheikh is a New York-based producer, director, and writer. He served as Executive Producer on VIVA VERDI!, a documentary about the home Giuseppe Verdi built for retired opera singers and musicians in Milan, currently on the festival circuit. He is also Executive Producer of the short documentary MURMURATIONS by filmmaker and visual artist Xavier Marrades, produced in association with Mustardfield Productions, his New York–based production company. He is a Co-Producer on the upcoming Broadway-bound Hippest Trip: The Soul Train Musical. His original script “I Am Yusuf” was a finalist for the 2019 Sundance Development Track.
During his time at Simonsays Entertainment, Sheikh contributed to Broadway productions including For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide / When the Rainbow Is Enuf and Thoughts of a Colored Man. Prior to moving to New York, he spent nearly a decade with the Dubai Drama Group in the United Arab Emirates. He directed and produced the “2025 NYC Tribute of Ron Simons” at Joe’s Pub in Manhattan, and has served as a jury member for the Queens World Film Festival.
