Tiffany Soares

Tiffany Soares is a creative educator who has worked in New York State Public Schools for twenty-seven years.  She is the creator of an elementary school theatre group that has provided over five hundred students with the opportunity to explore theatre arts. Tiffany has also co founded a middle school Documentary Club that invites passionate young thinkers to view documentaries about people and places across the globe.  

Tiffany has always felt a deep connection to the elders in her life.  Her grandparents and grandparent in- laws were some of the best people to ever walk the planet.  She finds seniors to be the greatest treasure trove of stories and as such, has worked with senior citizens in her community to write their own personal narratives in The Grapefruit Group.

Tiffany received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from SUNY Albany, her Master’s Degree in Education from The College of New Rochelle, and her MFA in Theatre from Sarah Lawrence College.  She was a Disney Teacher of the Year nominee.  Tiffany is most proud of being awarded Yonkers Public Schools Teacher of the Year in 2015.
