James Tumminia

Executive Producer

James Tumminia, multi-hyphenate producer/actor/director/writer, is the 2019 Emmy-nominated producer of LOVE GILDA. He co-founded with Alessandro Spallino, Italus Films, a newly formed US/Italy joint venture, with features and short films in pre-production. Tumminia’s producing credits include the award-winning feature documentary, LOVE, GILDA; the award-winning feature, VIOLET, starring Carlos Bardem, and directed by Luiso Berdejo; ALL SHE WROTE, starring Gary Dourdan; SOMEBODY’S MOTHER, directed by Gabriela Tollman, and THREE DAYS IN AUGUST, starring Barry Bostwick. His short film producing credits include, RAIN, directed by Alessandro Spallino; in addition to producing, he also directed and co-wrote the 2014 award-winning short, MY CHRISTMAS WISH. Tumminia’s television producing credits include Gilda Radner’s Greatest Moments for ABC, Abbott & Costello Meet Jerry Seinfeld for NBC and Bob Hope’s last special, Laughing with the Presidentsfor NBC. He was head of production at GPA Entertainment, and has consulted at Disney+, Disney Channel, and ABC Studios, among others. His acting credits include, RESIDENT EVIL, ANGELS & DEMONS, Criminal Minds, Melissa & Joey, and The Shield. A twenty-year member of the Producer’s Guild, Tumminia is Chair of the Guild’s Documentary Committee and serves on the Guild’s International and Independent Film Producers Committees. A member of the Television Academy since 1993, and SAG-AFTRA since 1991, the Los Angeles-based Tumminia, divides his time between Los Angels, New York, and Rome.
